Why do I have a "donate" option?

So you may have noticed a "donate" PayPal icon on the top of my website. If you didn't notice it.. go back and check... I'll wait. Ok, now that you're all here :)

Trips cost money, and I work hard to afford them. And while donations aren't required so that I may travel, I appreciate any and all generosity. These donations help me with lodging, food, and exploring. Donations help cover experiences, international sim cards, souvenirs, and even taxi rides. You are in no obligation to give me any money.

But if you feel so inclined to contribute to my travel funds, please use the PayPal "Donate" Icon, and know that I appreciate it very much. And to remind you, this blog is 100% free for you and for me!

Also... sorry about this stock photo with "Benjamins" in a jar.. first of all.. do people save money this way? In mason jars and in big bills? And second.. this is not a depiction of what I expect anyone to donate.. hahaha
